There were a total of 39,183 social history objects in the Museum's Oxfordshire collections as at 1 February 2008. This is twenty times the size of the ethnographic collections in the Pitt Rivers Museum from Oxfordshire. The OXCMS social history collections came from the following towns and villages in Oxfordshire. The village names in red mark those from which we also have objects in the Pitt Rivers Museum collections, where figures are in red also that means that there are collections in the PRM but not in OXCMS from that place:
