Biography The Reverend Martin was assistant curate at St Michael in the Northgate, Oxford from 24 September 1922 until he became the vicar from 1 May 1927 to 4 April 1961. He was Rural Dean of Oxford from 1 June 1943 and an Honorary Canon of Christ Church from 8 December 1949.
