James Thomas Hooper

Biography He started his association with the Pitt Rivers Museum from 1922 when he began working as Assistant Inspector Thames Conservancy. He began collecting ethnographic material at an early age. He lived in Oxfordshire until retirement when he moved to Arundel and opened a museum which closed in 1964. [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 31/01/2007]
