Biography Nothing is known about this collector unless he is Oliver Robert Gurney, (1911-2001) noted British cuneiform scholar and Professor at University of Oxford or Robert Gurney (his father) (1879-1950) Zoologist. Both Gurneys appear to have been in Oxford in 1934, Oliver Gurney gave other objects to the Museum [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 23/01/2007]
