Biography Expert in fire-making devices with collection, lived in Kensington (presumably in London). According to the Liverpool Mercury 23.10.1879 he was also an ornithologist, if this is the same person who is also mentioned in a further article in the Leeds Mercury 3.3.1883 issue 14009 confirms him as an ornithologist and gives his residence as London. This Bidwell showed items at the Royal Society [Royal Society Conversazione Daily Mail Gazette 15.5.1890 issue 7848]. However he could be the Edward John Bidwell of Wadham who was awarded honours in classical greats according to the Daily News 31.7.1889 issue 1315 and whose degree was conferred on Jan 15th according to Daily News 17.1.1894 issue 14913 [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 06/12/2006]
