Biography Worked at the Geography Department, Manchester University, but based at Pitt Rivers Museum as University Demonstrator and Lecturer from 1950. He obviously worked on the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East geographical area including working on Minoan hieroglyphics. One source describes him as a 'historical geographer' [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 08/12/2006]
