Wig, Papua New Guinea

This wig of human hair is decorated with fur trim and yellow feathers. Such crescent-shaped wigs were worn by Huli men of the Southern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. There were two types of wig. This is an example of the type used for everyday wear.
