Strip-iron Cuirass (1914.26.140) 

NigeriaNigeriaStrip iron cuirass from Nigeria, Africa. Thought to have been collected by Percy Amaury Talbot. Given to the Museum in 1914.


This is a heavy cuirass from Borno in north-eastern Nigeria. It is made of iron strips riveted together and edged with cloth and leather.
