Changra I. Personal name Wangchuk Tharchin. Born 1882. A military officer of the 4th rank (De-pšn). Formerly commanded the Dalai Lama's body-guard (Kusung) (strength 500 men); promoted in 1934 to be joint Commander-in-chief of the Tibetan army (total strength of the army 7700). Said to be straightforward but has not much influence. He is conservative in politics.
