Sargent, Mrs; Biography: Nothing is known of this source except she lived in Dean and said she was aged 65 in 1891. The 1891 census lists a Hannah Sargent aged 68 of Wimborne Cranborne which might be the same person. Savage, Edwin Bentley; Biography: Missionary in New Guinea and Torres Strait Islands for eight years. Possibly born 1853 or 1854 to Edwin Savage and Martha Corbin of Ringwood, Hampshire. He may have married Edith Elizabeth Ruston (born circa 1875) [see website below]. He was a missionary with London Missionary Society, working in the Pacific from 1886. He worked on Murray Island [Mer] from 1886 with the Reverend Harry Scott. He wrote a vocabulary for Murray Island in 1886 and also prepared vocabulary lists for Miriam, Mabuiag and Daudai in the Torres Strait Islands (used by the Cambridge Expedition) and of the dialects of the Fly River.
