Ruthhog-pa I. Personal name Namgyal WangdŸ. Born 1896. Entered Government service in 1923. Was Dzong-pšn of Giamda Dzong in Kongbo. His daugther married the son of Chanya Kusho, a landlord of Gyantse but not an official. Ruthhog-pa secured for his son-in-law the privileges of a Gyerpa, i.e., the right to become an official. Was Dzong-pšn of Kyerong Dzong until August, 1940, when he was promoted to 4th rank and appointed a De-pšn in the Tingri regiment. Relieved of his post of De-pšn in May, 1947.
