Born 1895

 

Ngawang Gyaltsen. A monk official who has been permitted to marry. Born 1895. Was formerly the Tibetan Government's representative in China. Married a Chinese lady. Returned to Lhasa in June, 1940, and was given the rank of Dzasa in August of that year. Sent to China again at his own request in October, 1941, as the Tibetan Government's representative. Is very cheerful and sociable. Returned to Lhasa in 1945 after being relieved of his duties in China. Appointed Officer-in-charge of the Public Works Office in August, 1948. Deputed as member of the Tibetan Delegation to China in December, 1950.
