The Project

This website is the major product of the project 'Recovering the Material and Visual Cultures of the Southern Sudan: A Museological Resource' funded by a grant of £225,000 from the Resource Enhancement Scheme of the Arts and Humanities Research Council to Jeremy Coote and Elizabeth Edwards. The research phase of the project began in October 2003 and was completed in September 2005. Design and construction of the website was completed in October 2006, though additions, enhancements, and updates will continue to be made through 2007 and beyond.
