Description:
A herd of cattle swimming across the Nile at Terakeka.
The crossing was done on one day soon after the rains began by those who kept their herds on river islands during the dry season.

Note on print reverse ms ink - "Every year when the rains come the Mandari tribe who live on the islands in the dry season with their cattle have to swim them across the Nile to the main land.
All this is done in one day and it isn't often one gets the opportunity to witness it.
They always lose one or two to the crocodiles in the process.
