A man, identified as Isse, standing inside a compound holding a stick to direct a small donkey that is standing next to a wicker courtyard fence. Evans-Pritchard had named the donkey Lord Oxford and Asquith after the former Liberal Prime Minister (1852-1928) who was ousted in 1916 by Lloyd George, which gives an interesting insight into his political opinion.
