Other Information:
A brief search of The Political System of the Anuak of the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan (monographs on Social Anthropology no.4, London School of Economics, 1940) identifies several men with the same name: Abula-wa-Ubang at Gwac; Abula-wa-Aruodi at Koc; Abula-war-Akwei and Abula-wa-Ucudhu living at Gorkuoo near to Pochala. However, since the film number directly follows other images taken in Pochala village, this location is more likely, and therefore makes the identity of this man as Abula the son of one of its prominent elders Aciek more likely.
