Description:
Looking down from the deck of the river steamer S.H.S.
Gedid at a series of barges fixed alongside the boat, consisting of riveted metal shelters with tarpaulin roofs, the one in from stenciled with the words GDF Railways Port Sudan.
Dry season grass firing by pastoralists can be seen on the horizon.
