Presumably an image of Johannes Tzerklas or Tserclaes, Graf von Tilly, involved in 'Thirty Years' war. This item is listed in the private family art catalogue [P-R AC] and described as being obtained in Munich and being 'early 17th century'.

Note that this painting is also described in the P-R AC, as 'William, 6th Earl of Derby, lived in 1613'.

Corporation Triptych panel with folding doors. Painted with coats of arms and figures inside. Right door on inside has figure with left hand resting on hilt of sword, beneath Ändreas Wolff”. Left Door;- Figure (male) holding gilt goblet in Right hand, beneath “Hans Frisch” On outside of doors, a figure on each with date 1830. Surmounting whole the date 1589. Alesso Baldovinetti (1427–1499) was an Italian early Renaissance painter.
15. Add.9455vol2_p115 /3: same date  'Pictures bought at sale at Foster’s Pall Mall ... Lot 59. Paolo Uccello St George and the Dragon Panel' £12.0.0 Unknown location. The National Gallery in London currently owns an Uccello painting of St George and the Dragon, see here. This does not appear to be the same image, according to the wikipedia commons version of the image it was purchased through Mr Farago from Count Lanckoroński (the first record of it there being of 1898).
16. Add.9455vol2_p116 /5: 15 May 1885 'Lot 172 Portrait of Mary Queen of England. From a picture by Lucas De Heere, belonging to the Society of Antiquaries of London. In ornamental frame having coat of arms at top and date 1554 at side' (Rushmore).  This is a copy of the Society of Antiquaries portrait, still owned by them, now said to be by Hans Eworth. See here.

18. Add.9455vol2_p117 /1: 15-19 May 1885 'Bt of Willson 393 Strand ... 6 miniatures of copies of [Insert] old [End Insert] pictures of Henry VIII wives (6) in black and gold frames 5 3/4” x 6 3/8”' £25 (Grosvenor Gardens, Rushmore, Hinton St Mary). These six miniatures are mentioned in the P-R AC. They are described as 'School of Holbein 1497-1543', and all appear to be copies of other portraits, many in the National Portrait Gallery.
19. Add.9455vol2_p117 /2: same date 'Bt of Willson 393 Strand ... 1 miniature of Henry VIII in black and gold frame 6 3/4” x 7”' (included in above price) (Hinton St Mary [presumably it had been somewhere before, but it is not stated where]). This is mentioned in P-R AC, it appears to be very similar to the Holbein painting in Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Madrid c 1536-7, see here.

George Clifford, third Earl of Cumberland, who must surely be the person referred to here, actually died in 1605. See here for more information. His portrait was painted by Nicholas Hilliard.

By Ravenstein Mr Denison gave 320£ for it' £47.5.0 (Rushmore, Hinton St Mary). An artist called Ravenstein (which appears to be a city in The Netherlands) cannot be found.

Beckett Denison Sale Friday June 26 1885 ... Lot 1830 Miniature of the Empress Marie Louise in chased metal gilt frame with oval centre size of frame 7” x 6”' £5.15.6 (Grosvenor Gardens, Rushmore, Hinton St Mary). This is mentioned in the P-R AC as 'Maria [sic] Louisa, circa 1812'.
27. Add.9455vol2_p139 /4: same date '... Lot 1846 Barbara, Duchess of Cleveland, as Diana by Sir P. Lely whole length from Hamilton Palace Collection. Mr Denison gave 42 gs for it. In black frame 8 1/4” by 10 5/8 outside measurement, 5 1/2” by 8” inside' £18.18.0 (Grosvenor Gardens, Rushmore, Hinton St Mary). Several images by or after Lely of Barbara Villiers can be seen on the web, none have been traced, so far, to the ownership of Pitt-Rivers. This is listed in the P-R AC as 'Barbara, Duchess of Cleveland, as Diana, by Sir Peter Lely 1618-1680'.

Lot 1847 Oil painting on panel, portrait of Louis XV in circular gilt frame 5 5/8” diam and companion Portrait of Marie Leszcznska in same size frame and style. At Hamilton Palace Sale the pair went for £17.0.0' £4.10.0 (?Grosvenor Gardens, Rushmore, Hinton St Mary). These are mentioned in the P-R AC as 'Louis XV. From the Hamilton Palace sale 1710-1774' and 'Marie Leszczynska, 1768'
30. Add.9455vol2_p157 /2: date unknown 'Miniature of a lady in evening dress & red shawl. Col signed D Du Caju pt Bought of Tessier, Silver Bond Street in circular frame studded with glass' £14.0.0 (Rushmore). Probably Dominicus du Caju (1802-1867), pupil of Louis Marie Autissier. This site gives a miniature by Autissier of Johanna Wattier-Ziesenis, which exactly matches this image. There is mention on the site that a du Caju copy of the image was sold by Christie's on 10 July 1991, lot 54. This was probably the image owned by Pitt-Rivers or another copy of the same image.
31. Add.9455vol2_p202 /3: around 30 March 1886 'Miniature of a Lady in Oval Gilt Frame. With verse around as follows: Early, bright, transient; chaste as morning dew. She sparkled; was exhaled and went to Heaven; What though short her date, virtue (not rolling time) the mind matures Orbit 11 Oct 1790 [Word illegible] 24 yrs' Price unknown (Farnham Museum).  The poem is by Edward Young (1681-1765), poet, in 'Night Thoughts', the stanza refers to Narcissa. The date and 'Orbit' reference is currently obscure.

33. Add.9455vol2_p236 /5: same date 'Pictures bt. of Christie Foster 14th July 1886  ...Unknown 100 Orpheus' £5.0.0 (Rushmore). This could be the image (there are two contenders) which is described in the P-R AC as 'Orpheus and the Beasts by Jerome Bosch (that is, Hieronymus Bosch), the second option describes itself as 'Orpheus, unknown' and is a more likely match to this CUL catalogue entry.
34. Add.9455vol2_p236 /6: same date 'Pictures bt. of Christie Foster 14th July 1886  ... G. Morland 160 Robert Burns' £4.0.0. (Rushmore). This is mentioned in the P-R AC. George Morland (1763-1804), English painter.
35. Add.9455vol2_p237 /1: 10 July 1886 'Picture bt. at Christies July 10th 1886 Richard Sackville, Earl of Dorset by M. Garrard 1580-1635. An ancestor of Sackville Lane Fox. He was the Sackville who died in 1760 & who succeeded to the Sackville estates at East Horsley through his mother, Vicountess Lanesborough Through him the Christian name of Sackville was introduced into the Fox family. Sackville Lane Fox was great grandfather of General Lane Fox-Pitt Rivers' £3.0.0 (Rushmore, Hinton St Mary). Richard Sackville (1589-1624) was the 3rd Earl of Dorset. The artist cannot be traced. The painting is mentioned in the P-R AC as 'Richard Sackville, 3rd Earl of Dorset, by M. Garrard. He was an ancestor of Sackville Lane-Fox, who died in 1760, and who succeeded to the Sackville Estates at East Horsley, through his mother, Viscountesss Lanesborough. Through him the Christian name of Sackville was introduced into the Fox family. Sackville Lane-Fox was great grandfather of George Lane Fox B. 1816 and of General Lane-Fox Pitt-Rivers B. 1827.'
