Panpipes made of eight bamboo sections, bound together with plant fibre strips, possibly Pandanus leaves, in a herringbone type technique. The wide leaf strips are themselves bound with narrow strips of plant stem. The segments are cut near the internode of the bamboo culm, meaning that the tubes are sealed at the base
