Headrest, tuarua, of wood, from the Society Islands (probably Tahiti); part of the Banks collection (1886.1.382)

Headdrest of wood, extensively damaged, although stable. Two legs are missing, along with most of one long edge. The remaining part of the curved top is cracked in two places along one short edge. The section of wood between the two cracks is free to move
