PRM000011618Comb, of wood, from New Caledonia; part of the Forster collection (part of Forster 150; 1886.1.1559)

Wooden comb with nine teeth. Each tooth has a knob at one end to stop it slipping through the binding that holds the set together. The binding appears to be made of plant fibre and a brown/red fibre which is probably flying-fox fur. The teeth of the comb move freely, and can be spread out
