Needle, of wood, from the Marquesas Islands; part of the Forster collection (part of Forster 141; 1886.1.1545)

The needle is made of a light brown wood, which has a mottled surface. There are several scratches and grooves on the surface. The needle is 415 mm in length, and 11 mm wide at the widest point. The needle tapers above the eye, and towards the point. The eye measures roughly 4 mm in diameter
