The goal of this lesson is to introduce students to a basic overview of
porcupine quill decorative embroidery among the tribes in North America.
Specifically, quill embroidery among the Blackfoot will be discussed and the
technique of wrapped quillwork demonstrated. Students will make a
facsimile of a quilled, contemporary bracelet.
