Dice pebbles, Egypt

Cube-shaped dice with markings similar to those used today have been found in 4000-year-old Egyptian tombs. This is an Egyptian marble die from the Roman period. It is probably some 2000 years old. It is not known for sure what dice were used for in the ancient world.
