Imitation tooth necklace, India

In many cultures real animal parts were used as body ornaments. However, sometimes another material – often metal – has been used instead of a real claw or tooth, the new material being fashioned to look like the animal part. This man’s necklace from Nagaland, in India, includes imitation tiger’s teeth made from shell.
