Lieutenant Moss [left], Rai Sahib Tsering Wangdi, the Head Tibetan Clerk at Gyantse, and Tami, Hopkinson's orderly can be seen on the road leading from Gyantse to Lhasa. On this occasion they were on their way to have lunch with Taring Raja and his family, who lived 7 miles outside Gyantse along the Lhasa Road
