Other Information - Setting: Tsen-drön Kusho (centre) was one of the secretaries of the 13th Dalai Lama appointed to attend on Sir Charles Bell's mission during their stay in Lhasa. He is photographed in a monastic verandah with two servants, one of whom holds his crown of religious office. By the time of the 1936-37 British Mission to Lhasa the Kusho had become the leader of the monastic cabinet of the Tibetan government and again headed the ecclesiastic party sent to meet visitors. [CH 03/04/2000]
