Other Information - Dates: Bell travelled on this route in 1920-21 on his way to and from Lhasa, although he would have visited Pede on a number of occasions during his time in Tibet and at its borders and a precise dating of this image is not possible. [MS 21/9/2004]
Other Information - Location: Pede Dzong (dpal sde rdzong) is situated in Southern Tibet and on the main trade route from Sikkim to Lhasa. The dzong served as a fort and an administration centre for the district. [TS 18/7/2005]
