Description:
A portrait of two young Mandari Köbora women in the central area of a homestead, with numerous gourd containers around them, and other girls crowding in to the frame.
The reason for the gathering is not known.
In general, Köbora women ornamented themselves more excessively than western Mandari women, wearing larger sets of armrings, as well as chain-link aprons with small triangle aprons hung in front and more strings of beads around the neck or waist.
