Copyright of CUL scans
One of the building blocks of the database available on this site were the scans prepared by Cambridge University Library of the nine volumes of the Pitt-Rivers catalogue of his second collection. These were the property of the Pitt-Rivers family and through the kind offices of Lord Renfrew of Kaimsthorn are now held by Cambridge University Library. Here are their records of this holding.
Copyright of these images is complicated because the catalogue has never been officially published but, as we understand it, legally resides with the Pitt-Rivers family and with Cambridge University Library. Any interested reader should consult with Cambridge University Library, in the first instance, for all enquiries.
