Club, of wood, from Tonga; part of the Forster collection (Forster 70; 1886.1.1445)

Wooden club. Leaf-stalk shaped. Undecorated. The handle is rounded and becomes four-sided as it nears the head. The handle end is carved into a rectangular peg shape with the remains of knotted plant fibre tied through it.
