Overskirt, sisi fale, made of small pieces of kafa (coconut fibre) intricately twined in a kind of basketry technique. These small pieces, in the form of stars, were covered with red feathers, and incorporated shell beads, animal teeth , and carved pieces of ivory (from whale's teeth), The smaller pieces were sewn together to create an overall design
