PRM000012479Fish hook, of wood, flax, and plant fibre, from New Zealand; part of the Banks collection (1886.1.379)

Wooden fish-hook tipped with a triangular piece of ?human bone serrated at the base and bound on to the wooden hook with plant fibre. The other end is tightly bound with string and is attached to a length of cord made from plaited fibre. This length of cord has been knotted twice towards the end
