Notes on print/mount - 'Song bcan cauldron Thro' is written on the reverse of the print in pencil in Richardson's hand and 'Velox' in an oval is stamped in black ink.
Manual Catalogues - Richardson' hand list: Album 2. [no.] 54. 'A bronze kitchen vessel preserved in Phun-khang family and said to have come from kitchen of Srong-brtsan sgam-po; the cover is later'.
Other Information - History: Phunkhang (phun khang)) is the name of the 11th Dalai Lama's (1838-1856) family. The full name is Phuntsog Khangsar (phun tshogs khang gsar).
Other Information - Person: Phunkhang Jamphel Nyamnyid (Phun khang 'jam dpal mnyam nyid, (1920-1945?) also known as Phunkhang Je trung.
