1936 - 1937 Mission Diary

The official diary of the Gould mission to Lhasa sent by the British government. Read more about the mission diary.

November 6th, Friday.

A few days ago we marked out a small football field on some waste scrubland a mile to the west of our house. Today we had a seven-a-side practice game. The object of these games is to enable every member of the Mission (about sixty including all servants) to get exercise and to have some outside interest.
