Yatung. Comments that barley is now being reaped. Learning Tibetan through Tibetan story telling each evening with Tuin La, the official Tibetan writer in the Yatung office. Formerly court chamberlain to the Dalai Lama [A. J. Went for a “lovely walk” up the side valleys around Yatung and took some photographs. States that on previous day he sent some photographs of the dancing at Tendoling Monastery: “I am anxious to see the results of my next lot of photos to see if my camera has been [?] damaged by its fall” [ibid., p.4]
