Ali bin Said bin Rashid

Seated portrait of Ali bin Said bin Rashid, a sheikh of the Yahahif lineage of Wahiba BedouinDuring Wilfred Thesiger's spring 1949 journey through the United Arab Emirates and Oman, Thesiger noted meeting Ali bin Said bin Rashid at "El Jiza" well in the Wadi 'Andam on March 20, 1949. Thesiger wrote that Ali bin Said bin Rashid, a sheikh of the Yahahif lineage of Wahiba Bedouin, invited his party to join their encampment, and that Ali bin Said bin Rashid celebrated their arrival by killing a goat for their party.
