Research Notes

John is certainly the man to the right as he does not appear in 1998.349.28 - 29. That leaves the man on the left to be Absalom. This also reveals the man on the left in 1998.349.28 and on the right in 1998.349.29 to be Josiah. The same same homestead behind them seems to be that appearing in 1998.349.18 and 1998.349.31. [Gilbert Oteyo 9/9/2004] Absalom is identified in 1998.349.173, .195 & .229 as 'Absalom'; in 1998.349.168 as 'Absala'; in 1998.349.29 as 'Abraham' and 1998.349.47 as 'Abrahim'. Although this is slightly confusing, we have decided to identify him as Absalom throughout for consistency. [Gilbert Oteyo 9/9/2004 & CM 04/04/2007]
