1998.349.46.1 (Film negative)
Edward Evan Evans-Pritchard
This man is definitely not a Luo judging from his personal body adornment. He is probably a Kalenjin as the original record reads 'Lanbua', which can be interpreted as Lumbwa, a term used in colonial days for those Kalenjin (such as Kipsigis or Nandi) who lived around Koru and Kipkelion (formerly Fort Tunnel). It is probable that Evans-Pritchard met this man on the road somewhere, perhaps even in Luo country. [Gilbert Oteyo 9/9/2004]
