Two girls laughing together under a tall tree (slightly out of focus), described as girls from Uyoma. Uyoma is both a village in Alego Location and a location on its own by that name and far from Alego. I would favour the Alego village on the basis of the natural environment I can see. These two girls have European dresses but also some Luo body ornaments. The girl on the right has a bead necklace (tik ng'ut) while the one on the left probably has chain belt (thiwni) and if not, just some sort of knotted belt. The big tree is just outside a homestead whose grass thatch huts can be seen behind the girls. [Gilbert Oteyo 9/9/2004]
