Description

A group of youths at a Luo funerary ritual event in which cattle are driven away from a deceased's homestead to symbolize the driving away of death, known as tero buru. The woman seated on the right is wearing an interesting hat - a hat which used to be worn mostly by the local administrative police (polis kanga). [Gilbert Oteyo 9/9/2004]

These is the same group as in 1998.349.55 and .224, which is there described as at some place called Kanyaura (which may be a misspelt name of a certain village). [Gilbert Oteyo 9/9/2004]
