Description

This tree is a euphorbia species known in Luo as bondo, in Uyoma clan area. Such big trees are sometimes considered shrines since they sometimes grow where a legend suggests the location of a clan or clan leader's settlement. In that case the tree becomes sacred to local people. [Gilbert Oteyo 9/9/2004]
