Description

Wahenye women at Gangu village. One is carrying a basket woven of small sticks. Wahenye have been renowned fishermen around the lakes in Alego. The vegetation of trees around the homesteads is thick. The women's clothing is an interesting kind of wrap-around and of different colours. The lady in the middle is wearing a wrist-ring (minyonge) probably made of metal. [Gilbert Oteyo 9/9/2004]
