1998.209.44.2 (Print black & white)
Charles William Hobley
This is a typical Lake Victoria shore line in Nyanza with lake water, a sandy beach and papyrus and grass vegetation. It is the same area as in 1998.209.44.1 with those men still seated at the beach edge while others are bringing the cut grass for making the fishing ropes, probably from an island in the water or across the other part of the lake-shore.
