A portrait of a woman wearing two elaborate coiled ornaments on her chest, with other neck and ear ornaments. This woman is described in the original documentation as a Terit woman photographed in Luo country, which would probably make her a Tiriki woman. The Tiriki are a sub-tribe of the Luhya of Western Kenya who border the Luo. Her personal adornments, particularly the long beaded earrings and the coiled metal pendants are not particularly Luo.
